The app
Grammarbar is a Mac app for macOS 14 or later, on Apple Silicon or Intel. You select text in the app you are typing in, press your shortcut, and the correction replaces that selection in the same language. The shortcut starts as Control-Option-R. You can change it in Settings.
The model can be wrong. Read the result before you send it.
Free rewrites and price
The account includes 30 free rewrites. That is a count, not a timed trial. Nothing is billed for the free rewrites. The count belongs to the sign-in account. Deleting the plan does not start it again.
After that, Grammarbar is a monthly or yearly plan. The prices are on the pricing page. Tax is added at checkout. The price you confirm there is the price you pay, tax included where the law requires it.
A rewrite counts when the model returns usable text. A failed or timed-out rewrite does not count. One subscription at a time. On the account page you can keep the plan you have, or switch between monthly and yearly. The new price is charged on the next bill date. Nothing is charged before the period already paid ends, and a second subscription is not started while one is still paid.
A paid plan includes up to 2,000 rewrites each calendar month (UTC) as fair use. The count starts again on the 1st. It exists to stop automated or shared use, not to limit one person writing.
Renewal, cancellation, and refunds
A monthly plan renews every month. A yearly plan renews every year. It renews at the price then in effect until you cancel. You can cancel on the account page. Canceling stops the next charge. The plan keeps working until the end of the period already paid.
If a renewal payment fails, the plan keeps working while the payment is retried, and the account page asks you to update the payment method. If the payment still fails, the plan ends, at the latest 30 days after the paid period ended.
The cancellation terms and the refund policy are part of these terms. Consumers in the EU, EEA, and UK keep the 14-day withdrawal right described on the refund page, except where checkout records that the digital service has started and that the right is lost.
Your text
You send only the text you selected. You need the right to send it. Grammarbar does not keep that text or the correction. The privacy page says what the logs contain.
The license
You receive a personal, non-transferable license to use the app while the account is in good standing. You may not resell access, share one paid account as a seat for other people, or reverse engineer the service except where the law allows it. The corrected text is yours.
Liability
Grammarbar is a writing aid. It does not replace your own review. To the extent the law allows, the company is not liable for lost profits or for a message you sent after a rewrite. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited, including liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for statutory consumer rights.
Law
Slovenian law governs these terms. The courts of Ljubljana have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you also keep the mandatory protection of the country where you live, and you may sue there.
These pages can change. The date at the top of each page is the date of the current version. A change that reduces a paid plan applies from the next renewal. Continuing to use Grammarbar after that date means you accept the updated terms.
